Juneteenth 2025 Community Celebration - Citywide honor of emancipation
Nashville celebrated Juneteenth with multiple community events on and around June 18, 2025, commemorating freedom and African American history.
YWCA & League of Women Voters Rally - Voting Rights Anniversary
In August 2025, the YWCA Nashville & Middle Tennessee and the League of Women Voters hosted a community rally commemorating the 60th anniversary of the Voting Rights Act, an event aligned with NAACP civic values and partners.
Ongoing Voter Engagement & GOTV Work - Civic Empowerment
The branch continues to strategically advance voter registration, awareness, education, and “Get Out The Vote” (GOTV) campaigns in partnership with local media, organizations, and events throughout Davidson County and beyond.

Tennessee NAACP Legislative Day on the Hill - Statewide Advocacy
TN NAACP hosts annual advocacy days at the state capitol in Nashville, bringing members together for legislative engagement each year.
TN State Conference Race Relations & Advocacy Summit - Statewide Empowerment
In March 2025, the TN State Conference held its 21st Annual Summit with workshops on public policy, education equity, economic empowerment, and civil rights advocacy.

Membership and Leadership Engagement
The Branch continues to recruit members, strengthen the Membership Committee, and encourage active participation at all levels. The Executive Committee and staff continue to contribute through annual giving and community outreach.
Freedom Fund Banquet Revenue Growth
The Freedom Fund Banquet functions as an important revenue source reinvested into community programming, youth development, civic advocacy and partnerships across Middle Tennessee.
Civil Rights Advocacy Training (CRATI & Policy Training)
Building on earlier years’ training initiatives, members have engaged in civil rights advocacy development, including NAACP policy work and external training partnerships.
Voter Restoration & Legal Clinics
The Branch continues to support community expungement clinics, voting rights restoration efforts, and other civic empowerment collaborations that align with community needs.
